Where's Brooklynn?

Well, the weekend has passed and Brooklynn still hasn't arrived. We thought for sure that she would be born before her due date, but Wednesday is approaching fast! We're realizing that God is in control and she'll join us when it's in His timing. Joy is doing well and has a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon. We'll know more then on how things are going. Look for updates tomorrow!

Another day, another doctor's visit...

Today Joy has her next to last doctor's appointment before her due date. A part of us just wants the doctor to tell us that we can head to the hospital and get things rolling, but I know that everything is in God's timing. Joy is doing really well and still working full time each day. I don't know how she does it!

Pink, green, and finally done!

For those of you who have asked, here is the nursery! It is finally done with the exception of the most important part...Brooklynn. Hopefully, she will arrive soon. Again, I would like to thank everyone who helped. Dean, Bill, Sara, and Tim—we could have never done it without you. Rich and I are so excited and we are counting down until we see our baby girl.

Hands down...the best...

I thought I would go ahead and post another photo that we took of Joy and Brooklynn...and me (well, my hands). We got the idea for this photo from a photograph we saw at the mall of a couple standing in front of a window. I thought this photo turned out really good and it's amazing what you can do with a simple digital camera, a black sheet, and a couple of shop lights from Home Depot.

Moving right along...

Yesterday Joy had her next to last doctor's visit before the due date and everything looked just great. Brooklynn's heart beat was chuggin' like a little train, and she's right in position ready to enter this crazy world. We're both feeling excited, anxious, nervous, and clueless all at the same time. I guess all new parents are like that...I hope.

Getting that nursery ready...last minute!

Well, we had a long weekend this past week with the MLK holiday, so we finally got around to finishing up our nursery. (Nothing like waiting until the last possible minute!) We put up wainscoting, painted the entire room, and furnished it. Thanks to all who helped us work on the nursery. We could never have finished it without all the help of our friends and family and we really appreciate everything. I'll be posting up final photos once we finish.

Brookbear!

On January 14, Rich and I went to Build-A-Bear in our local mall to make Brooklynn her very own teddy bear. Rich picked out the perfect bear and then we stuffed and fluffed! Rich chose the name Brookbear and I was able to do a birth certificate for Brookbear. We can't wait to see her running around with her teddy bear created for her with lots of love by her mommy and daddy!

My brother Tim and I took some really cool photos of Joy and Brooklynn a couple weeks ago. This was just one of the shots that really came out great! I may have to buy me some more hard drive space after Brooklynn is born. I have a feeling that my digital camera is going to get some serious use when this little girl enters my life.

We are so excited about Brooklynn Grace Cutter, our special little girl entering this world in just a couple weeks. We wanted to share our moments with her to our family and friends and thought that this would be a great way to do it.
